Hi, my name is Gary Hung, and I am very excited to be your child's music teacher this year. Just so that you can know a little bit about me:
 
  • I graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bioscience.
  • I received a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance and my teaching credentials from California State University, Fullerton
  • I started teaching music in September of 2002 at Santa Ana College.
  • I started teaching here in PYLUSD in September of 2005.
  • I currently teach instrumental music (string classes) at Sierra Vista, Glenknoll, Lakeview, Linda Vista, Rio Vista, and Melrose Elementary Schools.
  • I also teach at California State University, Fullerton, Santa Ana College, and private violin students at my violin studio.
  • My primary instrument is the violin.
  • I have taught strings groups at Valencia High School, El Dorado High School, Esperanza High School, Travis Ranch Middle School, and Bernardo Yorba Middle School here in the PYLUSD.
  • I love animals – especially dogs! I try to volunteer at local animal shelters as much as possible.
